2018 Lexus GS – Major Update

The midsize luxury sedans got an invaluable addition in 2013 following the introduction of the Lexus GS series. The 2018 Lexus GS that is the fourth generation is set to have revamped features, performance and fuel economy. Below are the specifications and features that will be fitted in this much awaited car model;

Exterior

A majority of the body panels in the 2018 Lexus GS will remain as they were in the predecessor. At the frontage, however, the old grille will be replaced with new one that will have a single element as opposed to one that was dissected by a horizontal bumper. Additionally, the clusters at both the front and the back will be redesigned. Those at the front will be separated into two and the high and low beam lamps will be mounted above the LED strip. The lights on the rear side will be unaltered but will be upgraded to run on the LED technology. New 18 or 19 inch web spoke wheels will also be found in this model. Slight but notable adjustments will also be made on the bumper at the back together with the rocker panels. Despite the changes, the same bold and stylish look of the Lexus GS will linger.

Interior

On the inside, the changes made will be small yet very necessary. Its steering wheel will have a resemblance to that found in a Ferrari but the dashboard will not be too busy. The seats will be upholstered in fine leather that will include different colors like Rioja red, Noble Brown and Ch√Ęteau. The color chosen will be matched with laser cut wood, Matte walnut, 3D or Nanguri aluminium. The infotainment features will include a multi function touch screen display, the Mark Levinson audio system, Bluetooth and USB connectivity, DVD video compatibility, among others. Technologically advanced safety features and equipment will also be fitted in the model including 10 airbags, pre-collision system, intelligent high beam and all speed dynamic radar cruise control, lane departure alert, pedestrian detection, among others.
