The Hyundai Sonata has in the past not performed very well in the market. Engine and Performance
Under the hood of this model will be a 2.4 liter naturally aspirated model. For those that would wish for a cheaper option, a 1.6 liter turbocharged inline 4 will be provided in the Ecomodel. In this latter option, the fuel mileage that has already been given is 38mpg. Those that will be in need of a faster and more powerful engine will have the third option that will be a 2.0 liter turbocharged engine. There are also indications that a hybrid option will be availed. This will be a 2.0 liter Atkinson engine that will be paired with an electric motor and a second option that will be a smaller petrol engine that will be paired with an electric motor and a set of batteries. In the latter option, the maximum power output will be 120 horsepower but the mileage figures will be impressive at an average of 55mpg.
2019 Hyundai Sonata Release Date and Price
The specific day that will see the release of this model into retail stores is yet to be confirmed. There are reliable sources that indicate that the release will take place during the third quarter of next year (2018). Following the numerous revisions that will be one on this model, it is anticipated that the 2019 Hyundai Sonata will have a retail price of about $21,000 for the base level. The price will rocket to about $35,000 for the new trim level that will be the hybrid version.
