Rumor has it that the Ford is planning to finally release the 2018 Ford Bronco. Some people are easily getting used to this idea and believe that the abandoned 2004 Bronco concept will be completed at last. On the other hand, others think that after failed attempt to bring Bronco to life ten years ago, this time won’t be any different.
However, since it has been gone so long, we are certain there will be high demand for this model as many people have grown nostalgic for the Bronco. In the meantime, while we are waiting to discover if there is any truth in these rumors, we can try and figure out what this Bronco of the future would be like.
Speculation about the new 2018 Ford Bronco body is that it should be based on the platform of the Ford Atlas, but also the 2004 model would have a great impact. It would have a full-size truck body design and some more aerodynamic and curvier design features which would bring up to date this model. Some of new features could be chrome bumpers, some advanced LED headlights combined with fog lights, and a pair of new taillights in the back. Materials used for making the body of the Ford Atlas are pretty lightweight, so if the Ford decides to use this platform for the new Bronco it should be considerably lighter.
What we are expecting from this model, besides a lot of space that we are used to already, is a massive upgrade in interior style. Be prepared for a whole new level in luxury, some quality materials and leather, as well as new technological advancements and improvements such as LCD screens, navigation, brand new audio system and much more.
2018 Ford Bronco Engine and Powertrain
There is a possibility that the 2018 Ford Bronco could have a few engines, and it is up to you to decide which one you want in your new ride. The basic model is a 5.0-liter Coyote V-8, capable of creating 420 hp. A little advanced model is a 4.9-liter Powerstroke diesel V-6 that shells out 330 horse power and 645 lb-ft of torque. Perks of the Powerstroke engine are that the Bronco could easily bare heavy loads, while improving the fuel economy.
2018 Ford Bronco Release Date and Price
If all speculations about the date are true, we could expect release of the 2018 Ford Bronco at the end of 2018. Prices of this model could be roughly the same as the prices of the 2015 Ford F-150 SVT Raptor crew truck, and that is about $44,995 for the basic model.
