Since the concept of the fourth-generation 2019 Toyota Harrier was revealed at the 2017 Tokyo Auto Show, the fans have been waiting to see what kind of changes and improvements this classy midsize crossover has prepared. According to the information our team has got, exterior and interior design updates as well as its hybrid system under the hood will leave the fans more than satisfied.
When it comes to 2019 Toyota Harrier, the first feature that can be noticed includes its overall dimensions. Namely, the size of this crossover will be smaller compared to its predecessor. However, this shouldn’t lead to any space issues inside this midsize crossover. The new Harrier may be smaller, but it will definitely be more modern, attractive and elegant than the current model. It will combine those classy and sophisticated features with sporty ones, especially in the front fascia where this crossover appears a bit aggressive, too. You will notice distinctive grille and a massive front bumper, but also its thin and narrowed LED headlights. In the rear part of the vehicle, you will find the extended LED taillights as well as some metallic protection at the bottom. These features will only add up to its already sporty and powerful look. The new Harrier will stand on standard 18-inch aluminum wheels.
As we have already mentioned, smaller dimensions of this elegant crossover shouldn’t bother the driver or the passengers. Indeed, the cabin might be smaller as well, but it will perfectly accommodate five adults and there will be enough space for your cargo, too. The interior of the 2019 Toyota Harrier will be modern, well-equipped and even luxurious in higher trim levels. For instance, you can expect heated front seats, 8-way power-adjustable driver’s seat, an electric panoramic sunroof, blue LED ambient lighting and an upgraded stylish dashboard with lots of updates in terms of technology. Sounds great, doesn’t it? Also, we believe that you will love the dark red color of the seats that will be covered in either a high-quality fabric or leather. When it comes to high-tech area, there will be a color TFT information screen and an 8.0-inch touch-screen display with the latest infotainment and entertainment system. You should also hope that this model will include some of the most important safety systems and driver assist features such as adaptive cruise control, airbags, parking sensors, a rearview camera and automatic braking system.
The 2019 Toyota Harrier will probably use an improved hybrid system under its hood that combines a 2.5-liter gasoline engine and at least two electric motors, mated to a CVT. All of these combined should deliver 197 horsepower. Lower trim levels might get a 1.5 or a 2.0-liter engine, but that has not been confirmed. It’s also a mystery whether the new Harrier will be mated to a six-speed automatic transmission or Toyota might introduce a new one with eight or ten speeds.
