According to the recently held 2018 Chicago Auto Show and the information our team has got, the fans of full-size pickup trucks will be able to see the 2019 Toyota Tundra quite soon. The upcoming Tundra is expected to keep that reputation of a powerful off-roader.
As we have already mentioned, the 2019 Toyota Tundra is going to hit the market as a full-size pickup truck that should show some serious redesign in terms of look. Generally, the shape and overall dimensions of this truck should remain the same, but the exterior features will definitely appear more modern and attractive than the ones seen on its predecessor. Being known for its excellent off-road performance, the new Tundra is expected to undergo some significant improvements in terms of towing and suspension to remain so. The truck will also stand on standard 18-inch wheels wrapped in all-terrain tires that will be able to go through all sorts of rough and challenging terrains. The new Tundra should show some distinctive rework in both front and rear fascia. Probably the most distinctive feature in the front end will be its redesigned grille, but the new Tundra might also get a hood scoop, although this hasn’t been confirmed yet. The massive bumper together with new air intakes gives this truck even more powerful appearance. The back part of this model reveals modern LED taillights and black chrome exhaust tips that give this truck a bit sportier styling.
Some changes and improvements can also be noticed inside the cabin of the 2019 Toyota Tundra. Namely, this full-size truck and its large dimensions will provide lots of space for you and your passengers. Its large and comfortable seats will be covered in high-quality materials such as leather in higher trim levels. Besides leather, you will also find some wooden details and aluminum parts. The front seats in higher trims should offer options such as heating and ventilation while the driver’s seat should be power-adjustable. The center console will reveal a 7.0-inch touch-screen display with the latest infotainment system. It means that you will enjoy features such as satellite navigation, audio system, climate control, Bluetooth connectivity, USB ports as well as Apple Car Play and Android Auto. The new Tundra will also improve its safety systems and driver assist features such as airbags, a rearview camera, lane keep assist, blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert.
When it comes to engine that the 2019 Toyota Tundra will offer under its hood, things shouldn’t change for a base model which will probably keep using the outgoing 4.6-liter V8. However, a 5.7-liter V8 should be also available, but it has been said that instead of the current six-speed automatic transmission, Toyota might introduce a brand-new eight-speed.
