The famous Bavarian manufacturer will finally offer a real supercar, which should come as 2020 BMW M9. Those are the newest reports that circulate on the internet. This model already seems familiar. It came five years ago in a form of a concept, so we have no doubt that the company will stick to this recipe, especially if we consider a great reception that this model had. On the other side, there’s a lot of question about mechanics, which includes possible engine as well. At the moment, we will rely mostly on rumors, while some more precise, official details should come in the future.
This is probably the least questionable aspect of the car. Pretty much all of us expect to see something similar to the concept that had its presentation five years ago. This model was characterized by plenty of sharp lines, a real futuristic look. Of course, there is the brand’s famous kidney grille, but this time in a completely new layout. Moving further, you can notice a nicely designed roofline, which descends slightly and ends with a massive roof spoiler. On the rear end, the most notable details of the new supercar are narrow taillights, which accentuate the width of the car even more. Considering that this concept came five years ago, we could see a bunch of subtle changes, though the overall styling shouldn’t be much different.
At the moment, this is the biggest mystery of the new 2020 BMW M9. We didn’t get any kind of information that could point to some details of the new cabin. So far, we can only presume that the BMW will come with its recognizable design philosophy. This would mean a strictly driver-oriented cabin. In terms of luxury, BMW M9 should go pretty high. Though many see this model as a direct competitor to the Audi R8, latest reports suggest that the new supercar will go far more upscale. More precisely, it looks like Bavarian carmaker wants to put this model into the segment of exotic cars, to compete with models like Lamborghini Huracan, Mercedes-Benz AMG GT, or even Ferrari 488 GTB.
Considering the company’s current engine lineup, we could say that are two units that could find their place under the hood of 2020 BMW M9. The first one is a well-known 4.4-liter V8 engine. In the newest edition, it delivers around 590 horsepower and 550 pound-feet of torque. On the other side, many believe that the new model could feature something more exotic. That could mean a naturally-aspirated V12, for example, the same one that we can see under the hood of M760Li. It is a 6.6-liter engine which has a max output of 610 horsepower.
2020 BMW M9 Release Date and Price
