It takes some time, but 2020 Dodge Charger, as the sixth generation of the popular car from Dodge is almost there. When we said “some time” we meant on the 19 years of the waiting for a new model, which is a very long period for the car like Charger is. Firstly debuted in 2006, when it caused big interests of the buyers, then redesigned in 2014, Charge simply has to be perfect and change a lot of things to start the race with the competitors. As we have heard, it will be accomplished with the new platform, new engine and small changes in outside look.
As a successor of the car knowing as the massive and aggressive, 2020 Dodge Charger will keep the same design and impression as the previous models, including the massive front end and interesting sporty details. The front grille has thin air intake all over the front end with very thin LED lights and chromatic line around it. There is wider mesh below that and two small trapezoidal mesh from the side of the front bumper. The side of the car has a small dent on the bottom of the doors, while the rear end has an interesting spoiler over the truck door and thin line instead of the taillights. Since Dodge has Challenger as the coupe version, it is not expected to see Charger in that edition beside the 4-door model.
The inside of the cabin in 2020 Dodge Charger is as sporty as the inside, meaning that it has massive dashboard, rounded with chromatic line, very elegant, but also sporty steering wheel, with three parts of buttons and commands and large 5-inches touchscreen with perfect combination of the infotainment devices and additions only for enjoying in driving. Even though Dodge has not clearly separated sports version from the other ones, it is expected that there will be more than one trim version for every type of the drivers.
Which engine will be built in 2020 Dodge Charger is perhaps the most asked question in the last period. Now we can confirm that it will be 3.5-liter V6 with 296 horsepower in basic model and 5.7-liter with 375 horsepower in stronger version. Both engines should be matched with eight-speed automatic transmission and optional all-wheel driving system together with the rear while driving mode. There were rumors that a special version of Charger would be connected with the 6.7-liter engine which produces 717 horsepower, but that is confirmed only for Hellcat, not for Charger, so we can be sure for that.
