2020 Skoda Karoq Replaces Skoda Yeti

The all-new 2020 Skoda Karoq has been announced to replace the Yeti SUV model. According to information we have got, the old boxy design will be improved into sleeker and more rounded look. With some familiar and some innovative features, the new Karoq will probably appeal to the fans of Skoda.


In terms of exterior, the styling will definitely be changed. We could notice a prominent front grille, a wide lower air intake and wraparound headlights. The new Karoq will definitely be more rounded, where the flat roof of the previous model will be replaced by a subtly curved one, and the black painted pillars are also history. You can also expect innovations such as modern two-piece designed headlights, raked windscreens and slightly squared wheel arches. You will notice that rear side window is actually black plastic panel while there are false white panels around the tail-lights. However, experts say that the chassis resembles the one seen at VW and SEAT models.


In the new 2020 Karoq, you can expect all-digital instrument display with numerous options for drivers. For example, they will be able to choose normal, eco, individual, sport or snow settings. They will also have internet connectivity, wireless phone charging, satellite navigation, and other necessary features for the modern-day customers. Safety features will not be left out, too. They will include lane keep assistant, blind spot monitoring, autonomous emergency braking, parking assist etc. When we talk about seats, this model comes with the VarioFlex seating arrangement. It means that you can move, fold or remove your second row seats independently or together. The boot space is expected at 521 liters, but this will go to 1630 liters when you fold down the back seats.


The new Karoq will be offered with five turbocharged petrol and diesel engines, sizes from 1.0 to 2.0-litres. You will also be able to choose between six-speed manual or seven-speed dual-clutch automatic-transmission. When we talk about innovations, this model will also have the new clever cylinder deactivation technology. This technology will help you save fuel by switching off half the engine when you are cruising. We can only wait a bit more and see what else Skoda is hiding under the hood.

2020 Skoda Karoq Release Date and Price

Skoda will have the world premiere with its new 2020 Karoq on 18 May, 2019. The sale will probably start at the end of 2019. It still has not been confirmed how much it would cost, but the price has been estimated between $17,000 and $18,000. So, we can say that Karoq will be pretty much affordable for all fans of this crossover.
