Announcing 2021 Jeep Gladiator, the manufacturer confirmed that great news comes from FCA group for the years to come. After significant changes in their well-known models like Cherokee, and novelties in shape of the electric engine for Wrangler, they could change their the most attractive off-road model to be even stronger, rougher and favorable, as this car class could offer.
The manufacturer gave him a code name Hercules, defining it as a rough, large machine, capable of heavy load, driving in every type of terrain and still massive and impressively large for the class of the heavy truck. Knowing that this model comes from the maybe the best manufacturer that makes heavy trucks, we have plenty of reasons to be thrilled how the model will look like.
- The model is more rough and large than before.
- There are interesting changes in design to follow off-road performances.
- The engine is the same as before.
- There are no known changes in the cabin.
When a manufacturer has to make the high-performance heavy off-road truck, like 2021 Jeep Gladiator, there should be important changes in the design of it as well. It is a rough and robust machine, without any doubts, and it will be in the future, too. However, the manufacturer will make it even rougher and aggressive changing the special suspension tune so they will be capable of driving on any terrain.
We also expect changes in skid plates and rock trails, too, although the manufacturer has not said much about it eighter. The front bumper should be made of steel, so the truck could stand every dump and hole on the road. However, the manufacturer has not shown much about these changes, so most of them we actually expect assuming that they had to be made for this usage of the truck.
Unfortunately, we cannot even predict changes that could be made inside of 2021 Jeep Gladiator. Most likely they make it soft and isolated from noise, while existed equipment could be slightly upgraded.
Although the main change should not happen under the hood, it is good to mention the engine that probably comes with 2021 Jeep Gladiator. Fans surely expect changes in the strength of the engine. There are rumors that they will existing model replace with stronger and more efficient V8 model. However, keep in mind that significant changes in size and strength of the engine cause changes in design and increasing in size, which is not that likely to happen.
The manufacturer will only boost up the existing engine. It means that we should see the same 3.6-liter V6 engine that produces 285 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque with boosting in power for 5-10 percents. It should be strong enough for increases in strength. There will be the same diesel version of the engine, too, meaning 3.0-liter V6 turbodiesel that produces 220 horsepower and 442 pound-feet of torque. Both versions come paired with eight-speed automatic transmission.
2021 Jeep Gladiator Release Date and Price
The last year model had the price of $33,000 if a buyer chooses a standard model without optional additions, but 2021 Jeep Gladiator could cost a little more. The exact releasing date could be known later this year, but we do not expect that it will be on the market before the end of 2020.
