Although there is no specific information, the 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee could be the next big surprise from the FCA Group. The reason for this is the change that is currently taking place in the direction of changing the market of large vehicles, where some factories are obviously withdrawing from the market and at least temporarily trying to reorganize. As for the Grand Cherokee, it should have a tremendous change in the future.
One of the biggest changes is certainly a change in the design and layout of the cab, where this model could get the third row of seats. In this way, it will become far more competitive and comfortable, while its place could only be occupied by an even bigger model, which is currently out of the market. The manufacturer did not say much about the engine and what is happening under the hood, but we believe that there is also a big surprise here. One of the largest will be an electric motor and perhaps an increase in the power of existing engines.
- The model should be larger and heavier than before
- There is the third row of the seats in the cabin.
- The engine is not known by now.
- Larger wheelbase could increase fuel consumption and the price of the model.
The 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee design should not be the same. What will, however, change is the question remains. We assume that the model will be larger and bulkier, which will increase its dimensions. However, all this is a question for the years to come.
As the biggest change that the 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee should get is actually the third row in the cabin. This will get closer to the Dodge Durango truck and certainly much larger. It remains, however, the question of how the manufacturer plans to increase the interior space. If the base is increased, this would mean that the engine power will also have to increase.
As far as technology is concerned, there are not many questions here, as the new model is more than attractive, so it is expected that part of that attractiveness will be transferred to the cab.
Although we know that the 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee gets a brand-new engine, it’s not known what kind he should be. On the other hand, old powerful engines, such as the 5.7-liter V8, which earlier models should have been withdrawn from the market. The reason is more than clear. The manufacturer obviously wants to block the production of models that will be economical but also to support environmental protection at the same time. It is not yet clear how this will be achieved.
2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee Releaase Date and Price
The FCA Group could get the new 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee in the redesigned Jefferson North Assembly Plant and Mack Avenue Engine Complex in Michigan. This factory recorded an increase in production over the past year and was the only one that continued with production and up to 92% at a time when other factories like GM or Ford literally fell to less than 85% capacity. At one point, according to FCA CEO Mike Manley, the factory went over 130% capacity.
Such a trend is expected in the next year. It seems that the 2016 decision to withdraw from the US market has resulted in the production more than ever. Finally, all this with the Grand Cherokee is great news, since thanks to this model, a new market of independent, powerful vehicles is powered by an electric motor, which is a great advantage for customers of other models. It is certain that big manufacturers will follow what the FCA does and imitate their steps.
