Since this year model has started the 11th generation, 2021 Toyota 4Runner will not be significantly changed in design nor in interior equipment from that model. However, the major change in this model should be another version of the engine, which should be stronger and more efficient from the competition.
Of course, it does not mean that Runner comes literally unchanged from the last year model. It is for sure that the manufacturer will change the model in design and in trim versions that should be offered.
- The model comes with the new, more efficient engine.
- There is the same price even for the slightly redesigned model.
- There are no changes in the equipment and design of the cabin.
- The model should have only two engine options.
As we said, do not expect significant changes in the design of the 2021 Toyota 4Runner from the last year model. However, the manufacturer will be surely innovative in details, so the future model is attractive to the younger buyers.
It is for sure that the recognizable front end and rhomboidal mesh grille remains on this model, too, while the rear end is the same strong and muscular trunk for the 5,000 pounds of load. TDR Pro as the highest and most expensive trim version will surely have even more, perhaps additions on the doors and steps, roads on the trunk and maybe metallic reinforcements on the bottom.
Nothing much in the cabin of 2021 Toyota 4Runner from the last year model, too. The manufacturer has not been cooperative and has not said much about the design of the cabin, so we expect the same as on the last year model. There is the same equipment as before and great safety system as we used in Toyota models.
2021 Toyota 4Runner should get the new engine that will follow the current one. The manufacturer will surely remain the strongest engine in the current model, and that is 4.0-liter V6 with the strength of 270 horsepower and 278 pound-feet of torque.
The new model, though, should have another option. It is a 3.0-liter V6 petrol engine with 336 horsepower and 365 pound-feet of torque. This engine should beat the current motor in fuel economy (it is only 18 mpg at this moment) and surely will reach the strength of the Toyota Tacoma’s 3.5-liter V6 famous engine.
2021 Toyota 4Runner Release Date and Price
The good news is that 2021 Toyota 4Runner comes for almost the same price as the current model. It means that it should cost around $35,000 as a standard model, while the highest trim option could reach the price of $50,000. Finally, the model will be offered to the buyers by the end of the next year, so all other questions will be answered later.
