Kia Carnival 2025: Changes, Price, Pictures

Kia Carnival 2025: Changes, Price, Pictures. There was a rumour last year that the 2025 Kia Carnival would be the fourth generation with a slightly altered appearance. No one was paying attention at the time since the thought of a mid-cycle update sounded premature. However, it appears that Kia is taking their work seriously because the fourth generation model will receive a revised look that will freshen the overall style and look. So, what can we expect from the new Carnival?

Layout and design

The latest Carnival, the fourth generation vehicle, was released in 2021. Kia, on the other hand, is dissatisfied with the model because it lacks a number of pieces and elements. These aspects may appear simple or trivial, yet they can have a significant impact on the overall performance and appearance of the vehicle. New (and more complex) camera system with Blind Spot View Monitor, digital instrument cluster, and rain-sensing wipers are expected. Kia was previously not creating these parts since it would cause a delay in the launch date due to high supply and demand.

Performance and Powertrain

According to certain reports, the 2025 Kia Carnival would use a hybrid vehicle as one of its powertrain options. It implies that Kia may discontinue production of the Stinger in order to use its Sohari manufacturing plant (in South Korea) to construct the hybrid Carnival. According to the production timetable, it should happen in the second quarter of 2023.

The hybrid powertrain would be shared with the Hyundai Santa Fe hybrid and the Kia Sorento hybrid. This hybrid system would be powered by a four-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine with a 1.6-liter capacity, an electric motor, and a lithium-ion battery. The petrol engine alone can provide 265 Nm of torque and 132 kW of power, while a pair of electric motors and batteries placed between the auto 6-speed gearbox and the engine can generate 264 Nm and 44 kW. As a result, total output would be 169 kW and 350 Nm.

The battery would be recharged via regenerative braking, while the full outputs would be sent to the gearbox (in parallel) to significantly reduce energy loss. Carnival hybrid would most likely just have a front-wheel drive system.

The Revised Strategy

The new Carnival would be updated, and the update appears to be inspired by EV9. It’s rather common for one model to be inspired by another. This ‘people mover’ ride was still camouflaged, so revealing the details would be impossible. Some of the overall shapes and forms, on the other hand, would be easy to identify. For example, you can see the (distinctive) vertical elements as an addition to the standard horizontal lights available on the present model.

You can tell about the EV9 concept just by looking at this design, as hints and cues are all over the new rumoured Carnival. In case you didn’t know, the new EV9 will go into production this year. According to the images, the camouflaged prototype is changing on the rear as well, despite the fact that it is also heavily concealed.

Last Words

We don’t know the actual debut date or pricing range for the forthcoming Carnival because of the scarcity of information. However, there is always the prospect of a price hike, especially given the numerous revisions and new (advanced) technologies included in the new design. Hopefully, we’ll discover more about the Kia Carnival 2025 before the official debut date.
